The Franziskus Animal Shelter provides a loving temporary home for abandoned animals and those from difficult circumstances. Here, the focus is on individual care and true quality of life:
- Building trust: Experienced trainers help dogs with challenging backgrounds regain confidence in everyday situations.
- Movement and connection: Volunteers ensure daily exercise and human interaction in natural surroundings.
- Medical care: Many animals require intensive treatment to recover and regain their health.
The overarching goal is always to find each animal a permanent, loving home.

Why we support the Franziskus Animal Shelter
The shelter is located just a few kilometers from our company headquarters. Through regular visits, we gain firsthand insight into the team’s work and see the dedication with which every animal is cared for.
Our connection is also deeply personal. We are adoptive parents of former shelter residents ourselves. Our office cat, Schnurli, is a wonderful example of how a vulnerable animal can become a happy family member, and today is an integral part of daily life at ProEnergetic.

Currently, around 80 cats and approximately 25 dogs live at the Franziskus Animal Shelter while waiting to be adopted. Many of them require extensive veterinary care and special attention due to their past experiences. As a non-profit organization, the shelter relies on continuous support.
